Rent-included / free apartment internet
家賃込み・無料インターネット物件 yachin-komi / muryō intānetto bukken
Building internet arranged by the landlord or manager and included in the rent or common-area charge rather than contracted separately by each resident.
Ask what reaches the room: fibre, LAN, VDSL, coaxial cable or only shared Wi-Fi. The advertisement may say 'fibre compatible' when fibre reaches only the building, not the room. Also ask the nominal plan speed, whether capacity is shared, whether a router is supplied, and whether each room is isolated from other residents.
Even a 1 Gbps building uplink can feel slow at night when many residents share it. You may have no right to change the provider or troubleshoot directly. Before ordering a private line, get written owner or manager permission and confirm whether new cabling, drilling or equipment in the common area is allowed.
