APN settings
APN設定 APN settei
A small configuration that tells the phone how to reach a network's data. Needed when you set up a SIM-free phone or a low-cost SIM yourself; a carrier-sold phone usually sets it automatically.
APN (Access Point Name) settings are a short set of values — an APN name, sometimes a user ID, password and authentication type — entered under mobile network settings.
You typically need to enter them by hand when you bring your own SIM-free phone, switch a SIM between phones, or use a low-cost SIM (MVNO). A phone bought from the carrier for that same plan normally configures itself, and many carriers offer an iPhone profile that does it for you.
The SIM & eSIM guide has a table of APN values for the major carriers, their online-focused plans and example MVNOs, each linked to the carrier's official APN page.
