Credit card network brand
クレジットカードの国際ブランド kurejitto kādo no kokusai burando
The payment network shown on a card, such as Visa, Mastercard, JCB or American Express; it is different from the company that issues and bills the card.
The issuer sets screening, annual fee, points, insurance and the app. The network brand mainly affects where and how the card is accepted and its network-specific services. The same issuer can offer more than one network brand, but a particular card grade or design may limit the choice.
Choose at application time. Changing the network later may require an additional card or a new account and number rather than a simple setting change, so update subscriptions and mobile-wallet registrations if the number changes.
