eKYC / online identity verification
オンライン本人確認 online honnin kakunin
Verifying your identity through your phone camera — photographing your ID and sometimes your face — instead of showing documents at a counter.
eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer) is how online-only plans check who you are. You photograph your residence card, often tilt it to show it is a real card, and take a short video or photo of your face. Good lighting and a steady hand matter — a rejected check means starting again.
