Cancellation / early-termination fee
契約解除料／解約料 keiyaku kaijo-ryō / kaiyaku-ryō
A charge that may apply when a newly opened line is cancelled within a defined period (often 12 months). Rules differ by plan and contract start date; device installments, options and same-month cancellation charges are separate.
